An early happy new years to you

I'm not sure if I'll be able to post tomorrow whatsoever, so here's a post dedicated to the new year. I would tell you my New Years Resolution, if I had one, but you can imagine that it would look something like this: (1) don't be a lazy bum, (2) do well in school, (3) do more exercise, (4) be nice to everyone. Something like that. This is pretty much setting myself up for failure, but hey, high standards never really hurt anybody... that bad.

So anyway, I just wanted to say Happy New Year to all my friends, family, lovely readers, and boyfriend (I'd like to be able to say it to everyone face-to-face but we all know that's quite unlikely given the situation). It's a shame I won't be celebrating the New Year with friends/family, but I guess Hawaii kind of fills the void. Oh, by the way, Happy 20th Birthday to David on the 1st of January--sorry I'm missing it! Hope you have a grand time.

Regardless, Kurtis and I want to thank you so much for reading and partaking in the journey we have undertaken in starting this blog. I'm going to giggle here and just say sorry for the cheese in the sentence--it had to be done. Sounds like a quest from Skyrim, right? I'm just going to stop before I get ahead of myself-- early Happpy Newww Yeaarrss everyone!

Currently watching Dreamhouse

All day today was literally spent packing for my week-long trip to Hawaii, and I can promise you that I overpacked. This is why I'd be the worst backpacker ever. I have an inherent fear of running out of clothes so I just pack for the worst. But seriously, it's not like I'm headed into the jungle for a couple months or anything. So I tried to lighten things up by taking out a few shirts here and there. It really didn't do anything so I gave up. I should probably get the worst packer of the year award. On the other hand, I'm only bringing 2 pair of sandals and 1 pair of flats (ignoring the runners I'm bringing as well)! I think that's pretty good considering that sometimes my family needs a separate bag just for shoes.

Also, I woke up today at 12:30 to a package sent by the lovely people at LOVE. If you haven't seen one of their famously drape-y dresses on famous lookbookers, then you will not understand why I was so excited to rip it out of its packaging and try it on asap. I could've sworn that this dress was the Ryan Gosling (yes, still in love with him) of all dresses, because I swooned like no other. Oh, and of course I packed it away in my suitcase. Heck, I might be way too overdressed, but I can't wait to pull out that dress. GET ME TO A BEACH.

Oh, and funny story about the Moleskin. I actually bought it this September in hopes of using it for the fall semester. Then I actually opened it to find that it was for the new year. I was so excited to write in it and be the most organized student known to man. I was quite devastated, as you can imagine. At least now I can use it.

Okay, the outfit post drought has been postponed momentarily, so now I present you with this. I mentioned in the last outfit post (which was ages ago) that my Club Couture package had come in a while ago, and that everything was extremely soft. Like I said, if I could sleep in these clothes without wrinkling them to death, I wouldn't need pyjamas of any sort.

Also, I leave for Hawaii tomorrow! I can't wait to step on a beach. The very moment I do, my soul will be complete. That and go swimming. I need to exercise after all the delicious holiday foods (it's been non-stop eating). I guess I've just caught up on all the dinners I've missed while studying away.

A really really busy post

Okay, so here's my reason for not updating earlier. Last night, I went to Avicii, which was fantastic (albeit the ridiculous mosh pit that I was really not in the mood for). So after getting home a little late (and not being able to hear for the next few hours), I woke up at 12:30 this morning. Since the boyfriend is leaving tonight to go snowboarding for the weekend (yes, that includes New Years--but I will be in Hawaii so all is well), all day was spent playing some Rose Online and watching the movie Click with Adam Sandler. I actually hadn't seen that movie in forever. This was back when Adam Sandler wasn't making atrociously horrible movies where he plays both main characters (I don't even know the name of the movie I'm referring to--I just know it exists). 

Anyway, since I'll be leaving the good ol' homeland for Hawaii soon, this means I won't be able to take many outfit shots in the near future (sorry in advance). Buuuuut, I have some photos of my Panty Bar, Shoppalu, and Sugar Lips Apparel packages I received recently. They're all fantastic and I can't wait to show them off in a proper outfit. But for the mean time, you'll be stuck with these. Hopefully these photos radiate really how awesome these clothes/undergarments (how proper of me) are. Also, excuse my limited vocabulary. I'm currently on winter break and do not feel like thinking like an intelligent individual (I guess I never really am though, so no problem there). 

Also, excuse the changes to the blog. I got tired with the Arial font (I go through different font obsessions, and right now, Times New Roman is the bomb). As for the banner, I hope you're fine with the fact that it is fixed in the same spot... watching you always. Now I think I will put an owl in the banner (if I don't get too lazy). Anyway, let me know if these changes are a good thing. I always enjoy your feedback. Anything else Kurtis and I should change? We were supposed to chat about the banner earlier but now he's half way across the world and probably shopping way too much to even care about what happens to the banner or this blog. Anarchy, am I right? Goodness, I'm pretty much writing a novel. As you can tell, I like to talk--alot.

I also forgot that I took some photos of my Jeffrey Campbell boots. I'm in love with them. Oh, and I wore them to Avicii last night, and they still look normal. Hurray for that!

And another thing I forgot. I felt a bit artsy last night and decided to put some studs on my shorts in the dark while my brother played Skyrim. Check them out below! I ended up poking myself a couple times with the studs, but no blood was drawn. So that's another hurray.

My family is talking about horrendous artwork in Edmonton--a very scintillating conversation, I know. But I have stuff to add to this conversation, so I'm ending the post here. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the random assortment of photos I have added to this post.

Christmas/Boxing Day reoccurrences Part 2

These past few days have been so ridiculously busy that I'm torn between the things I want to do and the things I should be doing (i.e., completing my winter break to-do list). Don't get me wrong, I'd love to complete my to-do list, I just also want to play Skyrim. Skyrim wins most of the time.

Anyway, I was asked to share some photos of my Christmas presents and boxing day purchases. Here you are! (I just noticed this, but I forgot to snap some good ol' hipster photographs of my new Jeffrey shoes--we're on a first name basis. I'll do it later)

Also, I apologize for the lack of hourly updates on this blog. Do forgive me!

Oh, and if you didn't know, Kurtis is probably in Europe the very moment that I type this (lucky guy, hey?), so I don't know if he'll be able to update much. And on the 31st, I'll be on my way to Hawaii! I'll bring my laptop, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to blog TOO much as well. After all, I plan to spend all my time on a beach (I haven't seen one in years...cry).
